The Triangle

Save the date! 2nd Monday in the fourth month is April 14th so the day of the next ordinary MEC meeting.

We will be discussing, amongst other things, 

• Matters arising   i)  Pop Up The High Street: ii) Blister pack disposal grant application iii) Heritage Open Days iv) Lowestoft North Cliff Community Garden     
• Caroline Topping  meeting scheduled for 12th May
• Crown Hotel Meeting convened by our MP Jess Asato   
• The state of our pavements ..
•  AGM - we hope for a June though actual date and location to be confirmed

You might have noticed that work started, then stopped, in 'under the sails area' of The Triangle. This is because the necessary planning permissions were not sought.

Lowestoft Town Council has now made an application to East Suffolk Council to 'fell to the ground' the 3 London Plane trees and to replace these with three Ornamental Pear trees. 

A site visit with Council officers and our own councillors (Suffolk County, East Suffolk District and Lowestoft Town) to look at the situation on the Triangle area and how it can be improved took place in late March. We are waiting for the update from Suffolk County Council and how the changes agreed might be brought in. To date we are still waiting for Traffic Officer in Suffolk County Council to get back to us....
