MECG meeting

After a false start in July, MEC have rescheduled their AGM for MONDAY 8th September. 

NB the new time of 5:30pm, with the ordinary meeting starting at 6pm. We hope to finish by 7:15 so everyone can stay for the 'private view' for the new show at the Mayfly.

Save the date! 2nd Monday in the fourth month is April 14th so the day of the next ordinary MEC meeting.

We will be discussing, amongst other things, 

• Matters arising   i)  Pop Up The High Street: ii) Blister pack disposal grant application iii) Heritage Open Days iv) Lowestoft North Cliff Community Garden     
• Caroline Topping  meeting scheduled for 12th May
• Crown Hotel Meeting convened by our MP Jess Asato   
• The state of our pavements ..
•  AGM - we hope for a June though actual date and location to be confirmed

A permanent post master has come along who wants to take over the post office business that is currently operating out of 'the post office' - a dedicated building where post office vans can pull up outside and pick up the packages and parcels posted there that day. The person taking over the franchise wants to move the post office to inside Bushel's bakery on Tennyson Road i.e. buy your cake and post a parcel at the same time??

Get your dancing shoes on and get in good voice - karaoke definitely 'de rigueur'

This is an important meeting as we need to elect new officers, set priorities for the future and review (and maybe amend) the Constitution
