'Get Lowestoft Reading' with a MECG book pillow...

MECG are working with Sally, from the National Literacy Trust, to help make 'every Lowestoft child a reader'. Sally has organised several events in Lowestoft with story-tellers and book-giveaways. 

Our Big PICNIC Lunch on June 5th in Sparrows Nest included free books and book pillows made by our own 'Lowestoft sewing bees' (10 women and 1 man!). We sourced the material from Marina in the High Street Haberdashery and used old duvets courtesy of the Samaritans to stuff these. Have a look at some of the designs and 'get inspired'...
